New homes are subject to council approval to sell land

The land could be sold, paving the way for 15 new affordable housing units in the village of Norfolk.
Norfolk County Council is considering selling the 64 sq. m next to Flowerdew Meadow in Skoll to make room for new housing.
The County Council bought the strip in 2010 in a real estate deal that freed up the land so Orbit Housing Group could build a dozen houses in Flowerdew Meadow.
Orbit now wants to buy more land nearby, which has been set aside for 15 homes under the local South Norfolk Council scheme.
The housing group reached an agreement with the landowner subject to obtaining a building permit for the house.
As such, at a cabinet meeting in the Conservative-controlled parliament on Monday (Nov. 7), MPs will be asked to agree to its sale, pending a recommendation from a County Hall attorney that the offer is fair.
